Addressing a news conference here, Nafisa said the finance minister should tell the nation why the PTI government wants to unveil a mini-budget in coming days. "What is the point of presenting mini-budget now? It appears that the government lacks a roadmap," she noted.
The PPP leader said that the PTI government depreciated the value of rupee while it did not decrease the price of petroleum products as recommended by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra).
She claimed that the PTI government has no agenda except exacting revenge and conducting fake accountability. She said the people in the government have been given a free hand and no joint investigation team is being constituted against them.
"We don't want to topple the government, instead we want to save it," Nafisa said. She said that that the military courts cannot be allowed to function for forever. She said, "if any extension in military courts' tenure is demanded, we will discuss it in the Parliament. We are against any parallel justice system," she said.
The PPP leader said that no developmental work is being done all over the country as the government merely remains focussed on political victimisation. She said that the PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are cooperating with government in the Parliament.
